Conflict Resolution Out of a Box
The aim of this box is to teach children peaceful and productive ways of dealing with conflicts thus building skills that strengthen their emotional intelligence. This box shows how to temper the emotional response to conflict situations by developing new ways of resolving problems.
Conflict is something we all encounter in our daily lives and the way in which we deal with different conflicts can determine whether they will escalate or diffuse.
The skills of active listening, communication, co-operation, negotiating, problem solving, critical thinking, affirmation and verbalising feelings are valuable assets that are important to nuture as children grow into adults.
