We are always excited to sponsor local charities and clubs, here are a few of our chosen charities...
We sponsored a Balloon for the charity Shine. Shine is a charity that provides specialist advice and support for Spina bifida and hydrocephalus. Following on from this we donated puppet story sets to the JR children's ward, to help keep children occupied during their hospital stay. We met some amazing, strong little people, who despite having huge obstacles, still managed to laugh and smile.
We sponsored a team for Race the Sun, and one of us had the pleasure of completing the 50 mile cycle, climb of Mount Helvellyn and the canoe across Thirlmere for the Action Medical Research, helping sick babies and children.
The same lucky individual also got to do the Yorkshire Three Peaks Trek for Marie Curie.
We are lucky enough to live on the doorstep of Silverstone, the heart of British racing and home of the British Grand Prix, so it was our honour to sponsor a young racer, Ryan Harper-Ellam, who has gone on to do amazingly well. We are so proud of everything he has achieved.
We recently sponsored the Brackley Squash Club. They have a wonderful, proactive Junior squash programme, encouraging children and young people to play the sport, and to keep active.
It may seem an odd one to find in our list, but actually one I really love. The Big Red Rooster Cockrel Rescue. They look after unwanted roosters. Having a couple of chaps in our garden, I have come to appreciate how lovely cockerels can be with their hens and shouldn't be treated the way they so often are.
Our latest charity is the Abington Ferret Refuge., who provide a safe haven for stray and unwanted ferrets.
